We are proud to welcome international students and share with them the learning, culture, and community that make our school special.

Oratia School follows the New Zealand Curriculum, the national education framework used in all New Zealand state schools. The New Zealand Curriculum provides a broad and balanced education. It focuses not only on academic learning, but also on developing confident, independent, and responsible learners. Students are encouraged to think critically, work collaboratively, and take responsibility for their own learning.

Our dedicated teachers and staff are here to help you settle in, grow in confidence, and make the most of every opportunity. We encourage you to get involved in school life — whether through sports, cultural activities, or classroom learning — and to share your own culture and traditions with us. Oratia School has been accepted as a signatory for the Pastoral Care of International Students and we are committed to ensuring that students have a fulfilling experience while attending our School.

Age of International Students:  International students at our school must be between the ages of 5-10 years, (New Zealand classified as calculated from their age from birth). In addition, as set down by the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International students, children 10 years old and younger must be accompanied and live with parents during their time in New Zealand. Oratia School will only accept enrolments from students who are living with their parents or legal guardian.
