BA, Dip Tchg, MEd Man
|I began my teaching career in 1982 after training at Goudstad Onderwys Kollege and the University of South Africa where I graduated with a BA in History and Sociology. I have taught in a number of schools in New Zealand and South Africa, at secondary, intermediate and primary levels, and have lectured at tertiary level. I completed a Masters degree in Education Management and in 2016 I will be working with a mentor from the Springboard Trust to hone my strategic planning skills. I have been the principal at Oratia School since 2008. I love travelling, learning new languages, music and film, and in my free time I am learning to play the bass guitar and ukulele.

My role is to support the children and their families who may have learning difficulties and I also support the teachers and children in the Potiki Team (Junior School).
I have three boys aged 9,11 and 13 years. I live locally and love being apart of the Oratia community, especially having attended Oratia School as a child. I enjoy spending family time, walking and biking in the outdoors, camping and new adventures, not to mention travelling to new places.
