Enviro School

Oratia District School is an Enviro School.  We achieved our Bronze status at the end of 2007.  We are currently working toward achieving our Silver status. 

The Enviro Group currently consists of a group of student leaders from Years 1 to 5.  They meet regularly with interested parents and staff.

Some Enviro School projects that are underway here at Oratia School are:

• planting vegetable gardens
• growing seedlings for planting
• planting a small orchard of fruit trees
• beautifying our school grounds
