Board of Trustees
Board of Trustees Elections 2013
Many of you may have met our current Board of
Trustee members at various events and meetings over the past three years. The
term for this Board ends in early 2013.
We encourage parents, caregivers and the wider
community to seriously consider standing for the next election in March 2013.
It is vital for Oratia School that the best is
provided for our students. By being a Board member you can, through effective
governance, ensure the best possible education for all students, help
oversee the development of the school environment and help to maintain what we
already have.
The current BOT consists of parents of children
who are all at different stages in their primary school learning journey. We were fortunate to have parents stand for re-election at the previous BOT
elections to ensure continuity and we would very much like to see this happen
again.
By becoming a Board of Trustees member you can and
will play a significant role in governing our school. Please take the time to
ask current Board members about the responsibility. Their email address and
contacts are available here on this site. You can also speak to teachers or to
Jocelyn McAlpine, Pam Thomas or to the principal Sherilee Swanepoel about this opportunity.
You can also come along to any of our Board
meetings to find out what we do.
Be sure to
think about this. We need you!
