Opening Of Our New Building.
On Monday 28th June 2010 a special ceremony at Oratia was held to mark the opening of the stunning new building block. A number of special guests were invited to attend who have had a relationship with Oratia school or who were involved in the building project.
The new building is a modern construction which blends beautifully with the existing structure. It contains spaces for music, technology and general teaching purposes.

 Papa Eru Thompson, representative of local iwi spoke at the opening ceremony and blessed the new building.

 Mrs Val Lyon, who was Oratia school secretary for a number of years completed the ceremony by cutting the ribbon. Oratia Principal Ms Swanepoel and Oratia Exectutive Officer, Mrs McAlpine look on.
