Oral Language Programme Term 2
Room 4 Class News
This term we will be following a different format for our news time which is part of our oral language programme. Each child will be given a day and each week we will change our subject.
Please find below the news groups and a breakdown of our subject for each week until the end of the term. Wednesday will be a whole class news day and children can share about anything they want.

Week 3 – Personal news. Bring a photo and share something about yourself. e.g., at a party, sports events, family, pets etc
Week 4 – Science news. Bring along an experiment, facts about our topic, ‘How things grow’, animal facts, space, water – the list is endless.
Week 5– Book news. Bring along your favourite book to share, some information about the author and why you like it.
Week 6 – Interesting facts. Bring along some interesting facts about anything at all.
Week 7 – Creativity news. Bring along something that you have made, drawn, built, crafted etc. to share.
Week 8 – Nature news. Bring along something that you have found from nature.
Week 9 – Newspaper news. Cut out and bring along a piece of interesting local, NZ or world news.
Week 10 – Free choice news. Share news on any topic at all
