NEW Oral Language Programme - Term 3
News: - This term we will continue our focus news. A big thank you to those children and families who spent time preparing posters, creations, pictures and writing for our news last term. I think it was really successful, it you have any feedback I would love to hear it. Each child will be given a day and each week we will change our subject. Please find below the news groups and a breakdown of our subject for each week until the end of the term. Wednesday will be whole class/buzz group news and children can share about anything they want.

Week 1 – Holiday news. Bring a photo, story, picture etc about your holiday
Week 2 – Drama/dance news. Bring some music and share a dance/gymnastics move, read a poem or a rhyme – tell a story out loud
Week 3 – Tell a joke news. Bring along your funniest joke to share!
Week 4 – Science news. Bring along an experiment, facts about our topic…….
Week 5– Game news. Tell or bring your favourite game to share with Room 4. We will try to play each game during the week.
Week 6 – Interesting facts. Bring along some interesting facts about anything at all.
Week 7 – Favourite toy news. Bring along your favourite toy to share with information about it using who, where, why, what, when, how (Please note toys can not be played with during school time and will be stored during the day in a safe place)
Week 8 – What did you notice news. Writers are good at noticing. Share something with the class you have noticed somewhere – anything! (This will form the basis of a story we will write this week.)
Week 9 – Creativity News Bring along something you have created to share with the class.
Week 10 – Free choice news. Share news on any topic at all
