Saturday Netball

Every Saturday morning during Terms 2 and 3, children of Oratia District School will be playing netball.  We have 10 teams who are competing at different grades.  The teams are coached and managed by parents and supported by different teachers.  Thank you to all those helpers.

The children learn a range of different skills such as catching and throwing a ball, the rules of the game and strategic thinking.  We have a strong focus on fair play and positive sportsmanship.  When children play sport they also learn important life skills about the power of teamwork and also how to win and lose with grace.

Our teams play at three different venues; Te Pai Courts, Planet Sports and Waitakere Trusts Stadium.  Please check to see when your team is playing and come along to cheer them on.
